This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Palmer - a 1 yr/5 month old (on 7/3/26), Catahoula/Plott Hound mix, who weighed 75 pounds (as of 10/28/25).

This sweet boy was dumped in the front yard of a rescue in Tennessee. We aren't entirely sure what his story is, but we're happy he showed up at our front door! We're excited to find this guy a home where he'll never have to worry about being dumped or abandoned ever again.

His foster shares: "Palmer is a playful puppy who is so handsome and just a happy-go-lucky guy! His coat is this beautiful brindle that looks like a rich wood. He is incredibly friendly and loves getting attention from his human. He plays well with all of his foster friends and greets strangers with a big smile on his face and a wagging tail. He does well inside, in his crate, in cars, and even on a leash. He also LOVES splashing around in the kiddie swimming pool! He's great with kids and would love to find a family who would bring him on adventures to the lake or the beach where he could splash around. This guy will steal your heart from the moment you meet him!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
