OUT-OF-TOWN Dogs with NDR refer to dogs we have saved that have yet to make their journey to Ontario. These dogs are currently in our care with the help of our partners in the area. These dogs will all travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found.

Roadie is a sweet old girl who found herself in a terrible situation. She belonged to an elderly woman who was struggling to even care for herself, and then eventually ended up in the hospital long-term. Her daughter came to try to help, but unfortunately for Roadie, there was no money for supplies or good care and all time was spent caring for Roadie's owner in hospital. Conditions at her home deteriorated the property on their own.

Roadie is in her golden years and currently weighs around 50 pounds. In addition to that, she was previously treated for eye and ear infections and UTI. Her poor teeth have been worn down significantly from extended periods of gnawing on whatever she could find for nourishment. She needs a place to spend the rest of her days in the comfort of a soft bed, a gentle hand, and warm sunlight to bathe in and soothe her old body.

She is very gentle and doesn't mind the company of cats or calmer dogs. She loves people of all ages and is always looking to make new friends who know how to be gentle with her. She is also a chatty girl and doesn't hesitate to tell you all about it when her food or water is empty or she wants to go outside. She adores naps and would honestly prefer to spend most of her day in quiet nap time. She is potty trained and walks very well on a leash. She enjoys slow, short walks outside and being fed snacks. She is not spayed but has been vaccinated.
