Meet Petal, a three-month-old Border Collie mix weighing 12 pounds.
Petal is a gentle little pup who is finally getting a chance to feel safe, cared for, and healthy. Petal and her sister Rose came to us as strays in very poor condition, both emaciated and struggling with parasites. With medical care, good nutrition, and time, Petal is now on the road to recovery and showing us a softer, sweeter side of herself each day.
Petal is a sensitive puppy who is still learning that the world can be kind. She can be unsure in new situations, which is understandable given her rough start in life, but she is beginning to open up and show her gentle personality. With patience and consistency, she blossoms more and more, especially when she feels safe and supported.
She enjoys quiet affection and benefits from a calm, reassuring environment where she can build confidence at her own pace. Petal is still very young and will need continued guidance with all the basics — house training, leash skills, and general puppy manners — but she is at the perfect age to learn and grow with the right family.
Petal is looking for a home that can offer her patience, stability, and lots of tender loving care. In return, she offers something incredibly special: the chance to watch a once-worried puppy slowly learn to trust, thrive, and become a loving companion.
