Maple - Beagle Dog for Adoption in Aiken, South Carolina

Maple has been through more than any dog should, but somehow, her heart is still full of love.

At 5 years old, and 19 pounds this Beagle was rescued from a hoarding situation where she and her siblings spent their lives chained outside. Some are missing teeth from chewing on their chains and eating food from the concrete. Despite such a difficult beginning, Maple remains an incredibly sweet girl who is ready to discover just how good life can be.

Maple absolutely loves being close to people and is a true lap dog at heart. She will happily curl up with you, soak up all the affection she can get and enjoy simply being by your side. Once Maple gets to know you, you have a best friend for life.

She has so much love to give and appreciates every bit of attention that comes her way. Whether she is curled up in your lap or following along beside you, Maple simply wants to be included and surrounded by people who love her.

Maple is also learning how to walk on a leash, something that is still new to her. She is discovering new experiences every day and learning all about the adventures that come with being a beloved family dog.

Her past may explain where she came from, but it does not define where she is going. Maple is ready for soft beds, warm laps, gentle adventures and a forever family who will give her all the love she has always deserved.

Maple is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!
