Meet Pinkie Nikona, a 7 and 1/2-week-old (6/14) Basenji mix, weighing approx. 3-5 pounds (as of 6/3/26). Pinkie was born with the rest of her NIKONA litter right here in Massachusetts! On a couch! Literally! These pups have known nothing but love and comfort since they were born and they're looking forward to bringing love and comfort to your home too!
Pinkie is the first born of her litter. She has the cutest little black fleck of hair on the top of her head and a white stripe down her face. Pinkie is sweet, calm and loves to be snuggled. It's the perfect trifecta! When she's not playing with her siblings, you can find her trying to think of ways to take over the world. Hopefully you'll be the "Brain" to her Pinkie and make her plans a reality!
The Nikona pups will make a great addition for any family looking for spunky and adorable young pups to train. They've only ever lived with their siblings and don't have experience with kids or cats, but hopefully they'll have an introduction! Their sweet mama is a Jack Russell mix who weighs about 20 lbs. We don't know about dad since mom came to us pregnant and was rescued off the highway in Tennessee. Based on the pup's size, Dad was most likely bigger than mom, so our best guess is that these pups will become medium size dogs when fully grown.
The Nikona pups haven't been spayed/neutered yet, but once they get a little older, they will be before adoption. In 2 weeks, they'll be ready go to their fur-ever homes. Mark your calendars and get excited for some much needed cuteness coming your way!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
To adopt or learn more about Pinkie Nikona, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $650] **
PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
