At 5 years old and 51 pounds, Theo is a handsome Australian Shepherd who came to us from Lancaster after he was no longer wanted by the breeder who owned him.

Theo is one of those dogs whose quiet presence speaks volumes. He's stoic, thoughtful, and gentle, taking in the world around him before deciding how he feels about it. While he can be timid, especially around men, Theo has shown us that beneath his cautious exterior is a sweet dog who desperately wants to trust.

Since arriving, Theo has handled all the changes in his life with grace. He allows all handling without issue, walks beautifully on a leash, and is showing off the intelligence Australian Shepherds are known for. He's not a vocal dog or one to demand attention. Instead, Theo is the kind of companion who will quietly stay by your side as he learns that he's finally safe.

What Theo needs most is a patient and loving home willing to give him the time he deserves to continue decompressing, building confidence, and discovering how wonderful life as a beloved family member can be. Every day, we see a little more courage emerge, and it's impossible not to root for this gentle soul.

Theo may not be the dog who rushes up to greet you on day one, but for the person willing to earn his trust, the reward will be immeasurable.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
