Meet the most iconic duo since Pinky and the Brain! Andy and Ellie are Mini Australian Shepherds that are 6-years-old. Ellie is 18lbs and Andy is 22lbs (as of 10/11/26). These cuties were surrendered by owners in Mississippi. Andy is a fun boy and Ellie is a charming girl. This bonded pair can't wait to find their forever third wheel to help them take over the world: you!

If you're looking for happy, loving and loyal dogs, these two are everything and a bag of chips! Their world revolves around their own people and each other. Once Andy and Ellie know you, they are incredibly devoted and affectionate and love nothing more than being right beside you. They’re true lap dogs!

They can be a bit shy and reserved with strangers and really aren’t concerned with making friends with everyone they meet, but maybe bribes with treats will help? Who's to say?

Both love being outside and enjoy playing together. They have a very special bond and are happiest when they’re together, like two peas in a pod!

They currently don't have experience with crates or leashes and are working on potty training. They will used a puppy pad if they don't get outside in time. But they will potty outside when they are out of the house. These sweets haven't met cats yet, but play with other dogs and don't mind the kiddos! Ellie and Andy would be best as the only dogs in the home. They’re looking for a family who will appreciate their sweet, devoted nature and give them all the love and attention they deserve.

You know what they say: two dogs are better than one! Bring these besties home today!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Andy and Ellie, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $800] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
