Meet Artemis, a 4-year-old Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix, weighing approx. 60 pounds (as of 9/30/26). This giant, friendly floof was surrendered by her owners in Tennessee because their living arrangements changed. You know what hasn't changed? Her big smile because she can't wait to meet you!

What can we say about Artemis? She's a wonderful mix of gentle, affectionate, and loyal? Sure. She's a sensitive girl who loves being with her people? Of course. She's a calm, confident dog who also has an active side and enjoys getting out and about? Yup. Her name is Artemis even though she's a girl? Puzzling but true!

And, of course, Artemis takes her job as a guardian seriously. She can be a wonderfully vocal watchdog when she thinks something needs to be announced. Your nosy neighbor won't be able to get in your business with Artemis around! She's lived with other dogs, cats, and does great with kids. She's even house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained and can type 100 words per minute!

Artemis would love a family who appreciates the special qualities of this amazing breed: their gentle nature, independence, loyalty, and strong devotion to the people they love. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion with a big heart and a little bit of Great Pyrenees personality, Artemis may be your girl!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
