Meet Gold Mine — the jackpot of puppy fun, brains, and affection!
At just 4 months old and about 23 lbs, Gold Mine is already proving himself to be a total gem. This adorable ACD mix arrived from the shelter with his (presumed) sister Treasure, and he has been friendly, confident, and fabulous from the very start. With his big expressive ears (we think he might secretly be part rabbit!), sparkling personality, and endless enthusiasm for life, Gold Mine brings joy wherever he goes. He’s the kind of puppy who dives into everything with gusto—playtime, snuggle time, learning time—and he’s always ready for the next adventure.
Daily Routine & Living Situation
Gold Mine's day kicks off bright and early around 6:30 AM with a trip outside for potty time, followed immediately by his favorite activity: a spirited game of fetch—preferably with a rope toy, though he’s not picky. He has a charming habit of grabbing his prize and dashing under a bench to celebrate his victory.
Meals and playtime repeat throughout the day around noon, 5 PM, and 9–10 PM, keeping his growing puppy body fueled and his mind engaged. After a full day of fun, he settles nicely into his crate around 10 PM and sleeps soundly until morning.
Because he is not yet fully vaccinated, he hasn’t started neighborhood walks, but he gets plenty of exercise through play, enrichment toys, and indoor adventures.
Personality: All Puppy, All Love
Gold Mine has been a social butterfly since day one. He greets people with soft, bouncy enthusiasm and a heart full of affection. He’s eager to learn and already shows lovely manners— he offers a sit for meals and responds when you pause and give him a moment to settle.
He is playful and energetic, with legendary zoomies that must be seen to be believed. His favorite routine includes racing figure-eight laps through the house, looping around furniture, and occasionally launching onto the couch mid-zoom. He is fast, agile, and endlessly entertaining.
Once he’s burned off his puppy energy, Gold Mine transforms into a cuddly companion. He loves affection and has absolutely no concept of personal space—he may bounce onto the couch from the side just to land squarely in your lap for kisses and snuggles.
He also has a delightful quirk: he enjoys taking toys out of the toy box one by one, chewing briefly, then placing them around the room before returning for another. His current record is 13 toys redistributed in a single session.
Social Skills
Gold Mine lives with two medium-to-large resident dogs and is eager to play with them. He would likely thrive with another playful canine companion or as a solo pup in a home committed to providing plenty of exercise and engagement.
He has shown respectful curiosity toward the household cat and has calmly passed by without incident while on leash. He has also done well with teenagers and enjoys human company of all kinds. Because he is still a bouncy, enthusiastic puppy, a home with very young children may need to be mindful while he continues to learn body awareness and manners.
Training & Habits
Gold Mine is crate trained for overnight and short daytime periods and settles nicely when it’s time to rest. He appears to be developing good potty habits and does well when taken outside on schedule. Like many young puppies, he is still learning and will benefit from continued consistency and supervision.
He is smart, curious, and very cooperative—especially when it comes to retrieving things from his mouth after sampling the many “snacks” he finds in the yard. Training will be a fun and rewarding experience with this eager learner.
Important Notes About This Clever Pup
Gold Mine is impressively resourceful and has already demonstrated his problem-solving skills. In one memorable moment, he escaped from a closed bathroom by climbing onto the counter and opening the door—in just 29 seconds. This means his future family will need to stay one step ahead of his curious mind and provide safe outlets for his intelligence and energy. Puzzle toys, training games, and supervised play will be key to keeping him happy and engaged.
Why Gold Mine Is So Special
Gold Mine is the total puppy package— funny, affectionate, clever, and full of life. He brings laughter with his acrobatic zoomies, melts hearts with his snuggles, and impresses everyone with his eagerness to learn.
If you’re looking for a joyful companion who will keep you smiling, keep you moving, and keep your heart full, Gold Mine is truly a treasure worth discovering.
