Meet Feast, the tender-hearted mama to the Seafood Feast puppies

If you’ve ever wished you could adopt the sweetest mom at the playground — the one making sure everyone is safe while still joining in the fun herself — then Feast may be your girl.

This petite 3-4 year old Norfolk Terrier mix came to rescue with seven tiny nursing puppies and has devoted herself completely to raising them. She has been an incredibly loving, attentive mama, carefully tending to her babies while also showing off her playful, affectionate side. Now that her little ones are getting ready to leave the nest, it’s finally Feast’s turn to be cared for and cherished.

Personality

Feast is a tender-hearted, deeply devoted little dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She’s the definition of a velcro companion — happiest curled in your lap soaking up head rubs and affection. And when life inevitably requires your attention elsewhere, she simply settles at your feet to wait patiently for your next cuddle session.

Despite all the responsibilities of motherhood, Feast still has a wonderfully youthful spirit. When she plays with her puppies, she bursts into joyful zoomies and races around with them like she’s one of the litter herself. Watching her bounce around with her babies is enough to make anyone smile.

She’ll also let you know if someone is at the door or if there’s activity in the yard, but she quiets quickly once praised for doing a good job. Feast clearly takes her role as family supervisor very seriously.

Confidence & Training

Feast can be timid in new situations. She’s naturally cautious with unfamiliar people approaching them, though she quickly discovers that string cheese is an excellent reason to make new friends.

Because she was so devoted to staying close to her puppies, walks have been a bit of a mystery for her. She often wanted to hurry right back home to check on the babies, so it’s hard to know whether her nervousness outside was simply “mom mode” or part of her personality. What we do know is that Feast thrives with reassurance, patience, and gentle encouragement.

Daily Routine

Feast sleeps peacefully through the night on her own bed and starts each morning by requesting her first dedicated cuddle session of the day. Then she happily joins her foster family to supervise puppy care like the devoted mama she is.

Once the puppies settle down for the evening, Feast rejoins her humans for quiet companionship and affection until bedtime. She currently eats at 7am, 1pm, and 6pm while transitioning out of nursing mode, though she will likely move to a twice-daily feeding schedule soon.

Her Perfect Home

Feast is looking for a patient, loving home that will give this deserving mama the chance to finally relax, feel safe, and be someone’s baby for a change. Beneath her cautious exterior is a soft, affectionate little dog just waiting to love her people with her whole heart.
