All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

Meet Blackjack — The Little Chocolate Pup Who’s Already a Winning Hand

Blackjack is a 3–4 month old Chihuahua mix weighing about 8 pounds, and he’s as charming as they come. He was found as a stray with Roulette, who looks almost identical to him, so we suspect she may be his mama. With his same gorgeous chocolate brown coat and sparkling personality, Blackjack is a sweet, playful puppy who brings energy, affection, and a whole lot of wiggles wherever he goes.

In the game of life, Blackjack is the kind of hand everyone hopes to be dealt— full of joy, loyalty, and just the right amount of playful mischief. He may be small, but he’s already proving to be a jackpot of personality and love.

Blackjack’s Daily Routine

Blackjack usually wakes up between 6:00 and 7:00 AM and heads outside for his morning potty break. After that, he settles into the rhythm of the household— sometimes lounging on the couch, sometimes playing with the younger resident dog, and often following his canine buddy around to see what adventure comes next.

Throughout the day, he enjoys time in the backyard sniffing and exploring, mixed with plenty of play sessions and naps. As a young puppy, he has bursts of energy and classic zoomies, followed by quieter moments where he’s happy to relax nearby.

In the evenings, Blackjack likes to stay close to his people. He’ll sit beside you, follow you from room to room, or curl up next to the other dog to rest. At night, he typically settles in on the couch or nearby, content to be part of the household routine.

Personality: Affectionate, Playful, and Devoted

Blackjack is a loving little puppy who truly enjoys being with his people. He’s a natural snuggler who gives plenty of kisses and happily follows you wherever you go. He tends to bond closely with his favorite person and likes to stay nearby, keeping an eye on the action.

Above all, Blackjack is a cheerful, affectionate puppy who makes every day feel like a win.

Social Life: Dog-Friendly and Always Ready to Play

Blackjack lives with another dog who is about three times his size, and he absolutely loves playing with them. He doesn’t let his small size slow him down— he enjoys rough-and-tumble play and happily keeps up with bigger canine friends.

He’s still learning the rules of games like fetch. He loves to chase toys, especially squeaky ones, but tends to keep them rather than bring them back—often hoping you’ll chase him instead. His playful spirit and social nature make him a fun companion for both dogs and humans.

Energy Level: Active Puppy with a Cozy Side

Blackjack is an energetic puppy who gets the zoomies and loves to bounce around, especially when he’s excited. His joyful wiggle is one of his most endearing traits— his back legs hop and wiggle like a little bunny when he’s happy.

That said, he’s also wonderfully adaptable. If you’re relaxing, he’ll happily settle beside you. If you’re outside or moving around, he’ll stick close and join in the fun. He simply enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing.

Training Progress and Good Habits

Blackjack is making steady progress with his puppy skills and is well on his way to becoming a well-mannered companion. He is familiar with potty pads and uses a doggy door, with only occasional accidents.

He has not shown much chewing or digging behavior and is generally respectful of his environment.

What Makes Blackjack Special

Blackjack is a joyful, affectionate puppy with a playful personality and a heart full of love. He greets life with enthusiasm, whether he’s bouncing through the yard, chasing a squeaky toy, or curling up beside his favorite person.

One of his funniest moments so far was when he discovered his reflection in a mirror and barked at it— until he realized it was just himself.
