Meet Jack Jack
Jack Jack is an 8-year-old, 55-pound Cattle Dog who has been patiently waiting 1.5 years for someone to finally see what his foster already knows—this sweet senior boy deserves a forever home of his own.
For the last year and a half, Jack Jack’s foster has given him a safe, loving place to land, but he continues to be overlooked. Finding his forever family wouldn’t just change Jack Jack’s life—it would also open up a foster home so another dog in need can be saved.
Jack Jack is a laid-back, low-energy guy who doesn’t ask for much. Give him a comfy place to nap, plenty of treats, some good ear scratches, and people to love, and he’s a happy boy. His favorite activities include lounging around the house and supervising whatever you’re doing in the kitchen. If you’re looking for a quiet companion who will happily be your little shadow without demanding constant entertainment, Jack Jack might be your guy.
He does have hip dysplasia, but he gets around just fine and certainly doesn’t let it bring him down.
Why you’ll love Jack Jack:
Sweet, laid-back senior boy
Low energy
Professional napper
LOVES treats
Loves ear scratches
Happiest lounging near his people
Leash trained
Potty trained
Crate trained
Knows sit and shake
Hasn’t let hip dysplasia slow him down
Jack Jack thrives in a quiet, relaxed environment and would do best in a home with older children or no children. He especially loves having a crate with a comfy bed available as his own safe space where he can relax whenever he’d like.
He can also live happily with the right canine companions. Jack Jack does well with sweet, non-reactive dogs who match his gentle pace and respect his space. If another dog becomes snappy or reactive toward him, he will respond, so calm canine friends are the best fit. He also prefers to enjoy his meals and beloved treats separately from other dogs.
And when thunderstorms or fireworks roll around, brave isn’t exactly the word Jack Jack would use to describe himself. His solution is much better anyway—find his people and snuggle as close as possible until the scary noises are over.
After 1.5 years in foster care, Jack Jack deserves to spend the rest of his life knowing exactly where he belongs. He’s not looking for a packed schedule or endless adventures. He’s looking for a peaceful home, a soft bed, a steady supply of treats, and people who will love having a sweet older gentleman following them into the kitchen and curling up nearby for a nap.
Jack Jack has waited long enough. We would absolutely love to see someone finally choose him.
