Meet Venus!

Venus is a 4-year-old, 88-pound Great Pyrenees mix with a heart as big as she is! This beautiful girl is the definition of a gentle giant—sweet, affectionate, incredibly easygoing, and just about as lovable as they come.

Venus has mastered the art of enjoying the simple things in life. She loves leisurely walks, car rides, a good bone to chew on, and plenty of scratches from her favorite people. Most of the time, she’s perfectly content relaxing and enjoying a peaceful day, but every now and then, she’ll surprise you with a case of the zoomies!

One of Venus’s best qualities is how wonderfully she gets along with other dogs. She adores dogs of all sizes and has a gentle, submissive personality that makes her a lovely canine companion. She’s also fantastic with kids and has the calm, affectionate nature that makes Great Pyrenees mixes so special.

At 4 years old, Venus is past the puppy stage and already has wonderful household manners! She’s potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained, although she prefers having the freedom to relax outside of her crate. Thankfully, she’s non-destructive and does beautifully when left out.

While Venus hasn’t been directly tested with cats, her siblings have all shown themselves to be cat friendly! We would be happy to arrange a cat test if needed to help determine whether she’d be a good match for a home with feline friends.

Venus really is the whole package for someone looking for a big, fluffy, loving companion without all the chaos of puppyhood. She’s happy to join you for a walk or a car ride, but she’s equally content spending a quiet afternoon relaxing nearby.
