Cara is a 4-year-old Pit mix whose story started with heartbreak, but she’s more than ready for the next chapter to be a happy one.

We pulled Cara from a shelter’s euthanasia list in rough shape. She was severely underweight and covered in burn wounds that had only begun to heal. Despite everything she had been through, one thing was immediately clear—Cara absolutely loves people.

Now that she’s safe, Cara is showing us just how much life and personality she has. She’s an active, playful girl who loves getting out, having fun, and burning off her energy. She’ll thrive with an active family that can give her plenty of exercise, playtime, and opportunities to stay busy.
