Biscuit - Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler and Border Collie Dog for Adoption in Amarillo, Texas

Biscuit is a young, sweet boy currently about 6 months old and weighing approximately 45lbs. We expect him to mature into a medium-large sized dog.

Biscuit has been thriving in foster care and is learning all the things a young puppy needs to know. He has done wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children and is making good progress with house training, crate training, leash walking, and using a doggy door.

Biscuit has moderate to higher energy and would love another dog in his forever home. He enjoys playing with other dogs, learns from them, and really seems to enjoy having a canine companion around. He wants to please both his people and his dog friends and is very receptive to the dogs around him.

He is especially wonderful with smaller dogs. Biscuit is gentle and playful and will happily flop over and let the little dogs “win” when they are wrestling and playing. He has a very kind, easygoing nature with other dogs and seems to understand when to tone things down.

Biscuit also loves spending time outside, especially lounging in the yard and watching everything happening around him. If someone is approaching, he will give a nice alert to let you know, do a quick investigation, and then settle back down to watch what is going on. He is curious and observant without needing to turn every little thing into a big event.

Despite his playful side, Biscuit is also happy to pick up a toy and lounge around. He has a nice balance of independence and wanting to interact with his people and other animals. He is a sweet, gentle puppy with a kind soul who enjoys being part of the household and learning from the people and dogs around him.

Biscuit is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, including 4 DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies, dewormed, current on preventatives, has a negative fecal test, and has received veterinary health clearance.
