We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. Meet Popps! Weighing 24lb, this adorable 14-week-old saffy-mix pup is silly, smart little guy who is discovering just how much fun being a puppy can be! We expect that he will grow to be a medium-large size dog at 50-65lb.
Popps loves toys, playful games of chase, sneaking a toy away and zooming off with it, and even watching TV with his people. He can be a little cautious when experiencing something new, but his curiosity is quickly winning out as he learns about the world around him. He is incredibly sweet and is learning to enjoy affection, especially a good ear scratch. Popps has so much personality to share and is ready to find his forever family!

Like any young puppy, Popps is learning all the important puppy skills and is making great progress. He is doing well with leash walking, is working on his potty training, and absolutely loves his crate, which he sees as his cozy safe space. He is very food-motivated and has been wonderful about sharing his food, toys, treats, and space. Popps loves children and has done well with both a 16-month-old and a 5-year-old. He is also cat-friendly! He gets excited when he sees other dogs and would love to make some canine friends, although he hasn't had the opportunity for direct play with another dog yet. He is a puppy who is eager to learn, explore, play, and soak up everything his humans are willing to teach him.

Popps is looking for a loving forever home that will enjoy all the fun, silly, rewarding moments that come with raising a puppy. His ideal family will give him plenty of love, patience, encouragement, playtime, and opportunities to build his confidence at his own pace. He would do well with people who understand that puppies are works in progress and who are excited to watch him grow into the wonderful dog he is meant to be. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. **For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. If you work outside of the home longer than 4 hours, please explain who will is available to spend time with this puppy while you are away. If that information is not included, we will not consider your application.

Puppies under 6 months are adopted on a spay/neuter contract, and adopters will be responsible for having them altered when age-appropriate.
