Meet Zinnia!

On April 3, 2026, Zinnia’s life changed forever—for the better. And so did the lives of most of her puppies. Zinnia and her babies were found wandering along a busy highway, and sadly, two of her puppies didn’t survive by the time help arrived. But Zinnia and the rest of her babies were given a second chance, and she has been in our care ever since.

Today every one of Zinnia’s puppies has been adopted. Now it’s finally mom’s turn!

Zinnia is a beautiful, sweet girl who has checked so many boxes during her time with us. She’s good with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and does great in her kennel. She’s comfortable with both men and women and would do well with respectful children too.

Zinnia did have to go through heartworm treatment, which meant a lot of forced couch-potato time. She’s now officially finished with treatment and ready for her next chapter! She’s carrying a few extra pounds these days, so if you’ve been looking for a walking buddy, Zinnia might be the perfect partner. Having an exercise buddy will be good for both of you!

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $300 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped. NOTE: We cannot guarantee breed mix or full grown size. Both are estimates based on physical characteristics and any known history.
