Denali - American Staffordshire Terrier and Husky Dog for Adoption in Dallas, Texas

Denali is a 6.5 year old gorgeous pit-husky mix. He is a dream dog for a very specific type of person, but a challenge for others.

Denali's dream home would have him as the only pet with an adult or older-child household. He is the most low maintenance dog who is fiercely loyal and just wants to love his owner. He loves to sun bath for hours in the Texas heat and he's also okay being inside the house for 8 hours a day. He does not whine, he does not have accidents, and he truly is a dream for the right person.

Denali does not do well with other dogs or children (14 and under). He has grown the last 4 years with our two children, but he becomes protective over babies and is skiddish around older energetic kids.

He needs to either be next to someone or in a safe crate for storms as he gets major anxiety. He also does not do well in public.

When kept away from young kids, other dogs, and public areas, he is the easiest, most loving and well behaved companion.

Proper training and regular exercise are crucial to keep these playful and social animals happy and well adjusted.
