Banks - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Dallas, Texas

Meet Banks, a goofy, big-hearted pit bull who is a professional cuddler, an outdoor explorer,
and the ultimate good boy. We are heartbroken to re-home him, but our family is growing with
many new and upcoming grandchildren. Banks has shown that he nips when small children he
doesn't know come up to him. While he is not aggressive, this is a common instinct for his breed
when they feel overwhelmed by small kids. To ensure everyone stays safe and happy, Banks
needs a loving home without young children, or the time appropriately warm up to them.

Outdoor Explorer & Social Butterfly
Banks absolutely thrives when he is outside. He loves smelling the fresh air, running through the
grass, and feeling the wind in his face. We make him frozen pup cups when we are working out
in the back yard. He loves them! Makes him work for his treat and knows the time of day and
anticipates when it nears. He is also a social butterfly with other pets, but also knows when other
dogs might be aggressive. Whenever he meets other dogs, he is instantly ready to play, romp
around, and make new furry friends. We routinely board him with his #1, a very large female
Weimaraner. Those 2 live everyday like it is their last. Funny to watch!!!

Master of the Couch
He loves nothing more than claiming his favorite spot on the couch for a long, deep nap. He is
incredibly affectionate and loving, always trying to find a way to lean against you or sneak in
some extra kisses.

The Ultimate Gentleman (With a Strong Boundary!)
When it comes to his behavior at home, Banks is a total gentleman:
He has perfect chewing manners. He will only chew on his own toys and leaves shoes,
pillows, and furniture completely alone.
He is a graduate! He successfully completed a four-week dog training session and
knows his basic manners.
He is a real dog, not a robot. We chose not to drill every single command on repeat
because we love his goofy spirit. He is smart enough to listen, but he still keeps the fun
personality that makes him so special.
Banks is the perfect mix of active, polite, and wonderfully lazy. He will make an amazing, loyal
companion for a household with adults or older teenagers!
