Hi… I’m Abby.

I know I don’t look like the kind of dog people rush to pick. I was found in a rural Alabama shelter with my two babies, trying my best to keep them safe in a loud, scary place where dogs like me don’t always make it out. My puppies are weaned now, and they’re starting their new lives. I’m so proud of them. But now I’m waiting and hoping someone might choose me, too.

I’m only about 33 lbs and around 2-3 years old — the perfect little size for couch cuddles, quiet walks, and a gentle presence. I’m a shy girl at first, but sweet in every possible way. The kind of dog who looks at you softly instead of demanding attention. The kind who just wants to feel safe and loved for the very first time.

I don’t need a perfect home. Just a kind one. A soft bed. A patient heart. A person who understands that sometimes the quietest dogs have the biggest love to give.

I survived the shelter. I raised my puppies. I did my part.

Now I’m hoping someone out there will finally give me my chance at a nice life.

Rescue Coop is a registered 501c that saves dogs from imminent euthanasia and at risk situations and transports them directly to approved adopters nationwide. We are located in SC but in three years, we have placed 550 dogs in 28 states. We post our dogs in the areas we regularly transport to. Our adoption fee is $250 with no additional transport charges. Unfortunately we are unable to do meet and greets but our adoption coordinators strive to make excellent matches.
