Meet Etta!
At around 7 years old and 56 lbs, Etta has the calm, wise energy of a dog who’s seen enough of the world to know what really matters: sunshine, soft beds, snacks, and kindness.

Etta was abandoned after spending much of her life being a mama. She’s also been treated for heartworm and is finally getting the care and peace she always deserved.

Her personality? Honestly… she’s kind of a perfect little porch grandmaw.

While other dogs run around playgroups causing chaos, Etta simply sits in the middle like a tiny retired queen observing the youth. She’ll happily walk on leash… until she decides she’s done. Then she politely stops for a rest and expects the world to respect her decision.

She loves watching the other dogs play, enjoys lounging in the sunshine, and has mastered the art of simply existing peacefully. No drama. No craziness. Just a sweet, regal girl who wants a calm home and someone to love her.

Rescue Coop is a registered 501c that saves dogs from imminent euthanasia and at risk situations and transports them directly to approved adopters nationwide. We are located in SC but in three years, we have placed 550 dogs in 28 states. We post our dogs in the areas we regularly transport to. Our adoption fee is $200 with no additional transport charges. Unfortunately we are unable to do meet and greets but our adoption coordinators strive to make excellent matches. With a strong and muscular build, the Rhodesian Ridgeback is also a loving and devoted family companion, displaying affection and protectiveness towards its loved ones.
