DESCRIPTION
Acacia is a beautiful 2-1/2 year old female kitty who was brought to the HSOV on April 8, 2026 along with her four 3-week old kittens (Elephant, Hippo, Kelp Gull and Okapi). This little family was found on Echo Valley Road in the Waterford Ohio area, and momma Acacia was doing her best to take care of her babies.
Acacia was a happy mother when she was given a spacious cage in a quiet room in our shelter which was filled with soft blankets, plenty of good food, and fresh water ... And she appreciated the assistance from our amazing HSOV kennel techs each and every day to make sure she had everything she needed including attention for herself.
Acacia has an orange tabby shorthaired coat, a long ringed tail, and a lovely face with golden eyes, a pink nose, a dusting of white on her muzzle, and extra-long white whiskers. Acacia's right eye is cloudy, so she may possibly have limited vision in that eye.
Acacia was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on April 12, 2026. She was given booster vaccines on April 29, 2026. Acacia weighed 8 lbs when she entered our shelter.
This little sweetheart was a wonderful loving mother to her babies. Acacia was separated from her kittens on June 6th since they were fully weaned. Kittens Elephant, Hippo, Kelp Gull and Okapi will soon be making their debuts on Petfinder/Facebook after their 'big boy' photos are taken.
Acacia was spayed on June 8, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 10 lbs that day thanks to the gourmet food that our kennel techs prepare for each of the HSOV cats/kittens (smile).
Acacia has a rather shy/demure personality but is quite friendly with her people friends. We don't know yet how she feels about children or dogs.
Acacia is currently enjoying a large cat tower in the HSOV lobby which she is sharing with two other kitties (Claudia and Lizzie), and she gets along well with both of her tower mates.
Acacia is ready to find a fabulous home with someone special to love her and spoil her to her heart's content. Acacia gets along well with other cats, and she loves to snuggle up close to Claudia (a 6-month old kitten) in the tower which they are sharing with Lizzie (a 6-year old kitty).
