Pit Bull Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Billy is a cute 2-1/2 year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 28, 2026 after he was picked up on Colegate Drive in Marietta Ohio (in the vicinity of Washington State College of Ohio). Billy was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped .. But Billy had been in our shelter earlier this year and reclaimed, so we were able to contact his owner and were hopeful that he would be going home. Sadly, his family was not in a position this time to be able to take him back.

Billy has a sleek black shorthaired coat with a large patch of white on his chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with a narrow white stripe his nose/forehead, a slender muzzle, and short 'folded-over' ears.

These photos of Billy were taken on the afternoon of May 8th 2026. Thanks to HSOV Kennel Tech Avah Day for accompanying Billy for outdoor pictures and showering him with attention. All of our HSOV dogs love Avah, and Billy stayed as close to Avah as possible since he knew he was in good hands with her.

Billy weighs approximately 50 lbs and isn't a very large dog when you see him in person. He walked fairly well on a leash for Avah.

Billy will be neutered before being adopted. He could be fostered while he is awaiting his neuter procedure with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application.
