Salsa G. (pink collar) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in West Peoria, Illinois

Meet Salsa

Salsa is approximately 3 months old, white with little orange spots, and somehow contains the head-butting force of a much larger animal. Once she decides you're safe, she'll be rubbing on your legs, demanding pets, and launching her entire forehead into you with love.

She also makes the cutest little open-mouth “mrrp” sound that has absolutely no business being that loud coming from such a tiny body.

Salsa and her littermates had a rough start and were found extremely sick with an upper respiratory infection. She has been treated and has completely healed, although she may still have occasional residual sneezing. She is not contagious. As with many kittens who have had a difficult beginning, future life stressors may occasionally affect her immune system, and she may benefit from supplements such as lysine if recommended by her veterinarian.

Salsa can be a little timid at first, but she warms up quickly. She does great with other cats, has been exposed to dogs, and is kid-friendly.

Basically: slightly shy, then aggressively affectionate.

The adoption fee covers their spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, flea/tick preventatives, deworming medication, and microchip registration. You can apply at https://gfrpets.org/apply/adoptcat/
