Prepare yourself for the cutest cat in the world! This is the cool as can be, Rusty!. This fun-filled boy was brought to us by a kind person who found him as a stray kitty, and cared for him until we had room at the shelter. Rusty has an estimated birthday of 8/20/24, so he's about a year and a half old. Rusty is a super sweet, flirty, and all around fun guy. He is very laid back, swoons when he's given love and affection, and doesn't mind being held and cuddled. He feels like a real-life stuffed animal, and we are all slightly obsessed with his cuteness, we aren't going to lie. Rusty is an absolute HOOT and has so much personality, and we can't help but smile anytime we are around this All American Good Boy! He has a wonderful personality and loves to play with, and be near his people. Rusty is a low maintenance guy who never asks for much, but he is always willing to take on all of the love that you are willing to give him. He also LOVES looking out the window of the shelter, from the kitty perch, in hopes of catching a glimpse of a passing bird. There is no doubt, that he would love to have his very own cat tree in his forever home. He would be an ideal "Netflix and chill buddy" too as he loves to relax and snuggle on the couch. He likes toys with feathers and catnip. He has met several other kitties since coming to the shelter, and we have never heard him hiss or act aggressive in any way; in fact, if a sassy kitty hisses or comes towards him, he retreats and heads for the hills! This buff boy is a lover not a fighter! And Rusty defines "buff" in more than one way- not only is he a lovely buff color, he's also a big boy, who tips the scales at 14 pounds. He really is like a cuddly, stuffed animal and we are shamelessly obsessed with his adorableness! He would do just fine in a home with other kitties, or as a solo king of the castle. With his laid back demeanor, we suspect that he would be just fine with a gentle, cat-friendly dog. Just remember that when introducing new furbabies to one another that slow and proper introductions are an absolute must! We want everyone to be set up for long term success, and that's the first step. With his mellow disposition, Rusty would be a great kitty to add to a family with kids. Our adoption fee is $100.00 for kittens up to 6 months of age and $80 for cats 7 months and older. It includes: a microchip, spay or neuter, set of shots, de-worming, and a 1-year rabies vaccine (if old enough). Fees can be made by cash or credit card.
