DESCRIPTION
Meet Dr. Kitty!
The Doctor (Kitty) is in and ready to see you for your check-up! This social girl enjoys meeting new people and keeping her office morale up. She enjoys playtime and is known to demand petting and lap sitting. If you're looking for a cat who will want lots of social interaction from you (and you won't mind being distracted from other responsibilities around the house), she may be the cat for you!
She came into our care after a new cat was introduced to the home and this was very stressful for her. She much preferred the previous vibes with just her family and one other cat. Sharing space, resources and attention can be very hard for some cats and she would much prefer to be able to go about her day at her own pace.
Paying attention to indoor environmental enrichment is essential to keeping an indoor, active cat engaged and happy. Cat trees and other elevated surfaces increase the living space available for a cat, helping them feel more confident by being off the floor and giving them extra opportunities for climbing, perching, and surveying the kingdom! Additionally, easy and convenient access to her litter box and good litter box hygiene will be high on her list of requests.
Cats: Dr. Kitty has previously displayed stress behaviors related to living with other cats. She would prefer to be the only cat in her new home.
Dogs: Dr. Kitty has no known experience living with dogs.
Children: Dr. Kitty has previously lived with children and may do well with respectful, older children in an adoptive home.
