Meet Tidden!

Who needs a weighted blanket when you've got a cat like Tidden for emotional support? This guy is 18 pounds of love and will be quick to settle on or near you for your favorite shows or while you read your favorite books. However, he can also be independent and is comfortable doing his own thing at times.

Tidden came into our care when his previous family was moving and unable to take him with them. He has enjoyed endless love and attention for the past 6 years and is ready to find a new family willing to offer the same. A low-stress environment where he can claim his favorite spot on the back of your couch, be able to predict the daily schedule of cuddles, and also establish a healthy routine for meals and play/exercise to work toward a healthier weight would be just what he is looking for. While he loves affection, like most cats he wants to set the tone and will let you know if it's not to his liking.

When settling into his new home, Tidden will request the typical cozy hide spots - likely coming out at night first to explore under the cover of darkness. Additionally, easy and convenient access to his litter box, possibly adding a second litter box, and keeping good litter box hygiene will be high on his list of requests.

Cats: Tidden has previously lived with cats and has done well. However, he has shown some behaviors that can be difficult to manage in multi-cat households. Personality match and gradual introductions to other pets, as well as s having plenty of space for separate resources and environmental enrichment will be essential to increase the chances of a successful match and reducing stress.
Dogs: Tidden has previously lived with a small dog and may do well with a respectful, cat-savvy dog in an adoptive home.
Children: Tidden has previously lived with children and may do well with respectful children in an adoptive home.
