Meet Totter!
Totter is a 2-month-old little lovebug and one of our cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) babies. Of his siblings, Totter is the most affected, with moderate CH-but apparently nobody has informed Totter that he's supposed to let that slow him down.
Standing for long periods can be difficult, so Totter has figured out his own way of doing things. When it's time to eat or use the litter box, the easiest method is usually to kick those back legs out and get to business. And guess what? He eats and goes potty completely independently with no assistance!
When the other kittens start their shenanigans, Totter is right there with them. He loves to play, wrestle and get into whatever trouble his siblings have discovered. He may tumble and flop his way through it, but he is determined to participate!
And when playtime is over? This boy is an absolute mush. Totter may have the loudest purr motor AND be the snuggliest of the entire crew. He loves affection and is perfectly happy melting into his person for some serious cuddle time.
Because Totter has more significant mobility challenges, his forever home will need to be thoughtfully set up for his safety. No access to stairs, pools, tubs, open toilets or other bodies of water, and good traction under his feet is especially important. Rugs, runners or carpet will make getting around much easier. His future feline playmate should also be gentle enough to understand that Totter wrestles a little differently.
CH isn't painful, and Totter doesn't need anyone to feel sorry for him. He needs someone willing to make his environment safe and then stand back and watch this determined little guy figure out the rest.
He might totter his way through life, but he plans on enjoying every second of it.

All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
