Meet Bumper!
Bumper is a 2-month-old neutered male tabby with the cutest little white socks and a BIG personality packed into a tiny, wobbly body!
Bumper is one of our cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) babies, and his CH would be considered moderate. He falls over-a lot-and his landings definitely aren't graceful. But please don't tell Bumper he's different, because he has absolutely no idea! He runs, wrestles, plays, attempts to climb and jump, and does his very best to keep up with everyone else.
He has been raised around other cats and dogs and has met plenty of children at our events. Bumper would love a playful companion, but because he can't always control where his little body goes, his buddy needs to be gentle and tolerant when Bumper comes bouncing their way.
The biggest consideration when adopting Bumper is creating a safe environment for him. He doesn't understand his limitations, so his family will have to do that for him. Stairs can be dangerous, and he should never have access to pools, tubs, open toilets or other bodies of water because he would not be able to safely recover if he fell in. Grippy flooring is also important-carpet is great, and homes with slick flooring may need runners or rugs to help him get around safely.
CH isn't painful and doesn't stop Bumper from enjoying life. He's simply a wonderfully wobbly kitten who approaches everything with enthusiasm-even when his legs don't quite cooperate.
Bumper is looking for a family who will embrace his quirks, keep his world safe and let this determined little guy continue doing life his way-full speed ahead, with an occasional tumble along the way.

All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats over 8 months of age, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need.
