Lucille - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Lutz, Florida

Meet Lucille!
Lucille was found in Tampa trying to cross SIX lanes of traffic all by herself. She was brought into an ER with a horrible calicivirus infection. Her eyes were filled with pus, she was struggling to breathe, and she had painful ulcers on her lip and tongue. Thankfully, a wonderful foster stepped up to take her in, and with treatment and lots of TLC, Lucille healed beautifully.
Now at 3 months old, she is making up for lost time! Lucille LOVES other cats and immediately became obsessed with her foster family's little terrier. They roughhouse constantly, and Lucille especially enjoys biting his lips, toes and ears. Personal space is definitely not her specialty.
She's also incredibly sweet, greeting her foster mom at the door purring like a little engine and following her around the house.
Lucille is now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested and microchipped and ready for her forever home! Since recovering from calicivirus, she has had a few episodes of recurrent sniffles, so we also had her checked for nasal polyps just to be thorough. Thankfully, she was all clear!
Lucille would do best with another cat in the home and would happily live with a cat-friendly, very tolerant dog too. She's sweet, social, silly and ready to find her family!
