Winnie - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania

WINNIE

Domestic Short Hair
🇺🇸
Gibsonia, Pennsylvania
June 20th
female, medium, adult

DESCRIPTION

This is Winifred, or Winnie. She is itty-bitty. If you are the kind of cat person that likes to see a smol little thing think she is soooo independent, she may be the cat for you.

Winnie is speedy and loves to play! Her favorite thing is to chase feathers and strings. And she doesn't like to admit... But she needs you to do that for her. She won't ask directly, but she will secretly hope you see her pawing the wand toy, and sitting quietly in hopes you will notice she's ready to play.

She is shy, skittish, and cautious. It will take time for her to trust you, you need to earn it with playtime, churus and patience. She visibly relaxes if you talk and slow blink at her. And she may pretend she doesn't mind you, but she might just lay on your chest in the middle of the night if she thinks you're asleep. Unfortunately she does not enjoy pets (shame, she looks so cute and grabbable!), and will run away, but she's polite and doesn't paw people.

Winnie is being fostered with her big brother Bennie. They like to run around and play together, and find comfort in one another. Sometimes he does piss her off if she's just trying to relax, but she will let him know it's not time to play.

She does well with other cats - so much so that she must either be adopted with her friend Bennie or into a home with another friendly cat. Since she can be shy, we think she would so best in an adult only home or into a home with very respectful older kids. She has not met a dog.

If you are a human with a certain level of nonchalance and willingness to win a cat over, you should apply to adopt Winnie (and Bennie?) today! Neither of them like being picked up and need a patient adopter who understands they need time and positive reinforcement. Small kids might overwhelm them, but calm older children are likely okay. Winnie is about two years old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply today!
