Domestic Short Hair Cats Available for Adoption in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania

One look into Church's soulful eyes, you'll know he's been through some things. This sweet, shy boy started his life in a trailer park where many of the cats were ill. When he was rescued he was severely underweight, covered in lice, and in need of a dental. After facing these issues, he had to fight FIP too... but Church was so brave and came out on top. Now he is looking for a quiet place to call home.

Church is still very shy (but not aggressive) with people. He needs a patient adopter who will give him time to warm up and show off the love bug he is. Churu and chin scritches will definitely help! He has recently started giving his foster mom little chirps when approached.

Three things that Church requires in his new home: a tunnel - to hide and play in, a tall scratcher - to stretch and play around, and another playful cat. Church LOVES to hang out in his tunnel. It's the perfect hideout from his foster brothers. Church also does big stretches on his tall scratcher. He will play around it like the goofball he is (picture legs on either side). Currently he enjoys playing with his foster brother, Draco. They run around chasing each other and wrestle.

Church is estimated to be at least three years old. He is neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and has tested FIV+ / FeLV-. He was successfully treated for FIP. Although a reinfection with FIP would be rare, we recommend that any interested adopters educate themselves on this disease and what signs/symptoms to look out for. Church also came from an area with known FeLV+ cats. Church tested FeLV- on IDEXX snap testing here at TCR (2x!), but to be extra cautious, his future adopters may want to consider having him retested in the future, and/or having any resident cats FeLV vaccinated.
