Meet Jelly: a grey girl with a lot to say - most of it sweet, but some of it spicy!
Jelly had a rough start after being discovered outdoors in a tough area as a stray. From day one, she wanted to be around her foster family, but their noise and movement put her on edge. She let them know she was uneasy with lots of growls and the occasional hiss or swat. But her foster parents knew that her uncertain behavior was because she was scared. With lots of time and patience, she has gradually come to understand that people can be safe and trusted, and she has become a very sweet, loving girl - although sometimes her behavior is still a bit unpredictable.
Jelly may never be a lap cat, but she's always around. She makes her presence known with lots of cute chirps and trills, and she isn't afraid to turn up the volume on her meow when she wants attention (or a plate of wet food)! She's not a huge fan of interactive play, though a ribbon wand can occasionally tempt her. She loves small, fuzzy stuffed toys with a bit of crinkle, batting them around, doing lots of bunny kicks, and sometimes even carrying them around the house and meowing. She also loves midnight zoomies with her foster sister, Misty. The two of them tear around the house having a blast. When she's looking for a place to chill, she can't get enough of a window perch, and loves to watch the world go by outside.
Jelly would do best with a patient family (adults only, or with older, respectful kiddos) who can help her continue to leave the thoughts of her previous life behind. She would do best in a home with another friendly cat (like her foster sister, Misty). She has not met a dog, but might be ok with a calm, respectful one.
Jelly is almost 1 year old. She has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea treated, vaccinated, and has tested FIV/FeLV-. Do you have room in your home and heart for this sweet girl? Please apply today!
