Cat by Cat Inc. adopts kittens 4 months (16 weeks) and younger only in pairs or to homes with a cat-friendly resident cat. Some older kittens or cats may also require a feline companion. Young kittens learn critical social skills like boundaries, confidence, play behavior, and bite inhibition from other cats. A feline friend helps them grow into healthy, well-adjusted adults. MEET COBALT — CALM, CURIOUS & COMPLETELY COMMITTED TO CUDDLES... EVENTUALLY!

Cobalt is an approximately 3-month-old medium-haired black-and-white beauty with big bright eyes, an adorable little chin spot, and a personality that gets sweeter the more you get to know her.

Cobalt isn’t one to rush a relationship. She likes a little time to observe, get comfortable, and make sure you meet her standards.

But once you’re approved?

The purr machine powers on.

Give Cobalt a few days to settle in and this gentle little girl blossoms into an affectionate sweetheart who loves being petted and cuddled. She’s one of the calmer kittens in her sibling crew, along with her sister Copper, but please remember that “calm” is being used in the context of a 3-month-old kitten.

She still has a schedule.

Balls need batting. Siblings need chasing. Wrestling matches need participating in. Windows need watching. And naps certainly aren’t going to take themselves.
Cobalt also shares her siblings’ fascination with Bird TV. Put on a bird video and apparently you’ve just provided premium kitten entertainment. Between that and watching the real world from the window, Cobalt takes her bird surveillance responsibilities rather seriously.

She also has one slightly less sophisticated hobby.

Cobalt likes to lick toes.

We don’t know why.

We’re not sure we want to know why.

Apparently everyone needs a hobby.

One of the sweetest things about Cobalt is her relationship with her sister Copper. The two girls have similar energy levels and often seek each other out for comfort. While some of their siblings may be cuddled up with a human, you can frequently find Copper and Cobalt curled up together on the cat tree having their own little sister snuggle session.

Because of that special connection, Cobalt would especially love to be adopted with Copper. Having her sister nearby gives her extra confidence and comfort while also providing a perfectly matched playmate, wrestling partner, nap buddy, and fellow Bird TV enthusiast.

Copper isn’t the only sibling option, though! Cobalt could also be adopted with her brother Platinum or sister Gold. She loves her siblings and would be happy to head home with any of them—or to a home that already has another friendly young cat or kitten.

Cobalt has received age-appropriate vaccines and has been treated with topical flea control and dewormer.

FOSTER TO ADOPT: Cobalt is still too young to be spayed, but she can go home with her adopter while she waits for her spay appointment. Once she’s spayed, her adoption will be finalized.

If you’re willing to give Cobalt a little time to get to know you, you’ll be rewarded with a gentle, goofy, purring little companion who loves to play, cuddle, watch birds, and occasionally conduct surprise inspections of your toes.
