Meet Sully! Somewhere along his grueling journey, this beautiful racing pigeon lost his way during a dangerous racing season. A volunteer spotted him on a storefront canopy, desperately shimmying along, eager to find safety. He had a strong spirit and healthy wings, but he knew he couldn’t survive alone anymore so Sully courageously walked right up to a human to be rescued.
A breathtaking dusty blue with striking, soulful rose-colored eyes, Sully is a proud boy who loves to show off his impressive size and gorgeous plumage and loves preening. He has a hearty appetite for life and will gladly, gently take peanuts right from an extended palm. While he proudly defends his nest with protective little grunts, he has a deeply peaceful side and loves nothing more than loafing around with his fellow foster pigeon neighbors.
Sully carries himself with the quiet dignity of a survivor. With a little patient trust-building, he already graciously steps up to perch on a human hand from time to time. He is ready to leave his racing days far behind him and will make a wonderfully loyal, stoic indoor companion or a magnificent addition to a safe aviary.
