Tidbit arrived at GLPR as a baby, still squeaking and covered in adorable yellow fuzz. Like many pigeons, as she grew, so do did her desire to stretch her wings, adventure, and see what the world has to offer her. While on that journey, and still a juvenile herself, Tidbit discovered her passion in life was caring for other lost squeakers who, like her, found their way to GLPR. Tidbit helped provide comfort and warmth for these young intakes by preening, snuggling, and keeping a close eye as they investigated their new surroundings.
One day, Astoria, a baby pigeon with a splay leg, arrived, and like she did with the fledglings before, Tidbit diligently watching over Astoria as her yellow fuzz turned into flight feathers and she began going on adventures of her own. No matter how far Astoria ventured, Tidbit was always close behind, ensuring she didn’t get into too much trouble.
Today, Astoria remains the zesty ball of energy, always eager to get out, investigate everything in sight, and see how much mischief she can get into. Tidbit, by comparison, is a little more laid-back and easygoing, but still does not let her friend go exploring alone. Wherever Astoria goes, Tidbit is never far behind! They are ready for their forever home together!
