Giordana is a collision survivor with partial vision in her left eye. She’s adapted — she moves carefully, reads her environment well, takes things at her own pace. She’s not anxious about it. She’s just learned to pay attention in a different way.
Bolero was found in downtown Chicago after an injury that cost him a leg. He gets around on one, steadily and without apparent complaint. He’s calm, grounded, and seems to have made his peace with the new arrangement.
Together, they make sense of their world. They rest near each other, move through the world at a similar pace, and seem genuinely steadier for the other’s company. They await a calm, patient home and someone who understands that both birds have been through real physical trauma and are still rebuilding — not broken, just careful, gentle, and optimistic for their future together!
