Ottawa is an owlish pigeon indeed. Deep rich ebony eyes round as a dime, a smallish petite pink beak and a minute frill tucked in neatly under his chin. Snowy white feathers adorn Ottawa in the most handsomest of way! It was Ottawa's favorite time of day when mommy pigeon nestled him into his nest and read him his favorite bedtime story... Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus! As his eyes grew weary with sleep his dreams turned to a big banana yellow school bus. There he was behind the giant wheel picking up all the giggling and thoroughly amazed children boarding his very own bus. Whoever thought an owlish pigeon like Ottawa could perform such an incredible feat. Block by block Ottawa maneuvered the bus to school and deposited the truly gobsmacked children to the front doors just as the morning bell rang out "time for class to begin." Ottawa awoke from his most amazing dream ready for breakfast and his favorite morning story...The Pigeon Finds A Hot Dog. Oh glorious day!
Ottawa was rescued by 2 teachers at an elementary school after he crashed into the window of a school bus and landed on the hood. Everyone was so relieved he was not injured. The bus driver kindly drove Ottawa to GLPR volunteer Jackie. He quickly recovered in his foster home and is enjoying the company of the 4 other pigeons. Cute as a button and already modeling pigeon pants, he is eager to find his forever home. You can help write Ottawa his very own bedtime story!
