Tulio is a beautiful 3-year-old greencheek conure who is a little shy, but quickly learning to come out of his shell.
He's incredibly calm and easygoing. No drama, no chewing up your furniture, no ear-splitting screaming sessions. Tulio is fairly quiet most of the time, content to hang out on or around his cage and observe while enjoying a snack. Despite his shy demeanor, he's been caught busting out a little dance move or two, and sometimes makes soft mumbling sounds that sound suspiciously like he might be workshopping some vocabulary. Only time will tell!
Tulio is still building his confidence with people, so he's looking for a patient adopter who's happy to let him set the pace. He's made real progress in his foster home! He'll take treats right from your hand (the secret is to not look directly at him). He rarely bites; when he's unsure, he'd rather just fly off than make a fuss about it. And speaking of flying -- this little guy is fast. His agility could rival the Air Force Thunderbirds!
His favorite toys include his loofah, vine toys, and paper toys for shredding and preening. He enjoys Roudybush pellets and loves dried fruit and millet as treats. (But remember-- no eye contact!)
