Meet Sunny and Sky, an inseparable bonded pair of budgerigars. These two are a perfect example of how patience and kindness can transform a timid bird. Both have made remarkable strides in their foster home, and they're ready to bring their cheerful chatter to their forever home.
Sunny is the shyer of the pair. She is easily flustered by quick movements, but has been improving with patience and consistent training. Sunny is a beautiful singer! Throughout the day, her foster family is treated to lengthy operas of chirping and chattering to her cage mate, Sky.
Sky is the social observer of this duo. He is chatty and curious, and he loves to watch what's happening in the home. He zooms around the cage with confidence, enjoying exploring and swinging, loving nothing more than shredding a paper toy to bits.
Both birds enjoy munching cooked grains, fresh vegetables, and greens. And who could forget a budgie's favorite treat-- millet! They have been introduced to pelleted food, but have yet to transition away from a seed diet fully.
While both birds prefer a respectful distance from hands for now, they've grown far more at ease with daily care routines, and with continued training in their forever home, they will steadily gain confidence.
