Meet Obi, a bright and cheerful budgie who came to us as a found bird and has settled into foster life like he's always belonged. With his vivid yellow and green feathers and bright, curious face, he's hard not to notice, and even harder not to love.
Obi has an easy-going personality. He's not fearful of hands, doesn't panic when people reach into his cage, and moves between spaces with calm confidence. He's still polishing his step-up skills, but he'll happily hop onto a finger when the mood strikes him, which is on his own terms, of course. He's trusting, but independent.
He's a talker in the best budgie way: no words yet, but plenty to say. He'll chatter along with the TV, sing back to the birds outside, and let you know he's paying attention to everything going on around him. Open a window (with a screen, of course), and you might get a full concert.
Flying is Obi's favorite activity. He knows how to navigate a room, always finds his way back to his cage, and lands like he's done it a thousand times... because he probably has. Out-of-cage time is his favorite part of the day, and he never has to be coaxed twice!
Obi's foster thinks he'd especially love a feathered companion, as he seems to be looking for one. (Budgie seeking buddy!) He's a wonderful fit for first-time bird owners and experienced ones alike.
