Must adopt with bond mate, Little Bug
Hi there... I’m Raini!
I may not be the first one to hop up and say hello—that’s my sister Little Bug’s job—but I’m always watching. From a safe distance. Possibly with a little side-eye. Okay... definitely with side-eye.
Little Bug and I are a bonded pair, which means we come as a set. She’s my built-in courage, and I’m her cozy cuddle buddy. I usually let her check things out first, but once I know everything’s safe, I’ll hop over and join in. And between us... I’m the one who sticks around longer for pets (don’t tell her I said that).
I like to pretend I’m the “little” sister, even though I’m clearly not. Sometimes that means I gently nudge Little Bug out of the way to get to the best pellets... or casually steal a leafy green right from her mouth. What? Sharing is complicated.
When I feel comfortable, I’ll take greens right from your hand, and I love hanging out nearby while you spend time with us—lounging on a box or peeking out from under a hide. I’m not big on being held right now, but I enjoy your company in my own quiet way. Trust takes me a little time, but once you earn it, I’ll let you pet me.
I’m a bit of an observer. I like to hang out at the far end of my space, keeping an eye on everything. Sometimes I’ll stand up on my hind legs (usually with my tunnel strategically placed between us—just in case) to see what’s going on. Safety first, always.
I’m pretty chill overall, but I do have a playful side! Stacking cups? Yes please. Slider treat toys? I’m on it. Willow bundles? Delicious and fun to chew. I also love my hay (I might toss it around a bit—it’s part of my process), my pellets, and bunny-safe treats.
I’m excellent with my litter box—just a few stray poops during cleaning day excitement, but otherwise very tidy.
As for roommates: I’d do best in a home without dogs—they make me nervous, even the sweet, sleepy ones. Calm, respectful cats might be okay.
What I’m really looking for is a patient, gentle home that understands shy buns like me. A place where Little Bug and I can stay together, snuggle, explore at our own pace, and slowly build trust.
If you’ve got a soft spot for a quiet girl with a big heart (and a little sass), I might just be your Raini.

RRMN bunnies are all vetted, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated. All bunnies are fostered in private homes where they are socialized and ready to become indoor companion house pets. RRMN is a non-profit rescue group operated 100% by volunteers, and 100% of donations/adoption fees go to the direct care of our animals. Due to their very special behavioral needs, we do not advocate for our rescue rabbits to serve as Emotional Support Animals (ESAs). We are unable to provide any documentation or certification for an ESA.
If you have any questions or are interested in meeting or adopting this bunny, the first step is to complete an adoption application found on our website: http://www.rabbitrescueofmn.com. For the safety of our rescue bunnies, our protocol requires a home-visit before placement. Therefore, we are unable to facilitate adoptions that exceed an hour and a half of travel time from the Twin Cities area.
