Ripley is a sweet, social boy truly ready for a forever home.
He was found alone in the woods, dragging a heavy log chain around his neck, his coat covered in fleas, ticks, and debris. Despite everything he had endured, Ripley's gentle spirit was still shining through--and now, safe in his foster home, he's truly blossoming.
At first, Ripley can be a little timid as he takes in new surroundings, but give him a little time and you'll see his true self emerge. Once he feels comfortable, he becomes an affectionate, devoted companion who thinks he belongs right in your lap. He absolutely adores being close to his people and will happily soak up all the love you have to give .He's also wonderful with the neighborhood children who come by to play,
He loves to run and romp with the other dogs in his foster home and gets along beautifully with every dog he meets. As for cats, Ripley peacefully coexists with them, showing little interest as long as they're calm around dogs.
He's also making great progress with his manners--Ripley is fully crate trained and doing very well with house training, showing just how eager he is to learn and please.
Ripley would be happiest in a medium-active home where he can enjoy both playtime and cuddle time. More than anything, he's looking for a family who will give him the love, security, and kindness he's always deserved.
After everything he's been through, Ripley is ready to leave his past behind and start his next chapter--as someone's beloved best friend.
