Meet Dook
Some dogs spend their golden years slowing down. Dook is spending hers searching for the family she's always deserved.
This sweet 11-year-old Yorkshire Terrier mix may be a senior, but don't tell her that! Dook still has plenty of personality packed into her tiny frame. She came to Mac's Mission after being transferred from another rescuer and is believed to have originally been found as a stray.
Dook has adjusted well to life in rescue, though she has become a little more vocal since warming up to us. She isn't shy about letting you know when she'd rather be with her people, and she's hoping her stay with us will be short-lived.
One thing we've learned about Dook? She's more athletic than she looks! This little lady can climb an exercise pen, so her future family will need to keep an eye on her if she's confined. She's also accustomed to using puppy pads.
Dook's Highlights:
Super sweet and affectionate
Good with other dogs
Does well with older children
Uses puppy pads
Full of charm and personality
Looking for a cozy place to spend her golden years
Dook isn't asking for much-just a soft bed, a loving family, and someone to remind her every day that she's finally home.
Senior dogs have so much love left to give, and Dook is no exception. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily soak up your affection and brighten your days, Dook may be your perfect match.
Could you be the happy ending this sweet senior girl has been waiting for?
