Meet Slate!
Don't let her tiny size fool you-Slate has a whole lot of personality packed into her little Chihuahua body! This sweet senior girl is looking for a loving home where she can enjoy the comfort, patience, and understanding she deserves.
Slate is a 9-year-old Chihuahua who will graduate from the Puppies for Parole program on June 12th. She came to rescue when her owner could no longer afford to care for her, and now she's ready to start her next chapter.
According to her previous owner, Slate is potty pad trained and will also go outside to do her business. She's happiest in a calmer environment and does well with older children, but young kids can make her nervous.
Like many mature dogs, Slate has a few medical quirks. She has luxating patellas (trick knees) in both back legs, allergies, and she isn't a fan of thunderstorms or fireworks. During loud weather, she'd much rather be curled up somewhere safe with her favorite person nearby.
