Meet Jute

A little shy... a lot of potential.

Jute is a 6-year-old Miniature Dachshund who is still figuring out the world-and learning that it's not such a scary place after all. He's a quiet, sensitive boy who will need a patient home willing to give him the time and space he needs to truly blossom.

Right now, Jute is shy and unsure, but we're already seeing glimpses of who he's meant to be-like catching him belly up in the sunshine, soaking in a peaceful moment.

What Jute needs to thrive:
A confident dog companion (this is a MUST-he takes comfort in other dogs)
A secure, fenced yard where he can explore and feel safe
A calm, patient home that will let him come out of his shell at his own pace

What we know about Jute so far:
Loves being outside-he's a busy little explorer
Gets along great with other dogs (male & female)
Doesn't seem to mind cats
Hasn't shown marking behavior inside
Still building trust with people but is slowly allowing more closeness

Jute may not be the dog who runs up to greet you right away-but he's the kind of dog who, with time and love, will form a deep, meaningful bond with his person.
