I’m Georgie! The cutest little 3.5-year-old male Yorkie, all personality and velcro goodness rolled into an itty-bitty 6.7-pound package, looking to steal your heart!

My rescue journey began when the city “kill” shelter picked me up off the streets of Yonkers, NY- dirty, stinky, a matted mess- and promptly placed me in a jail cell to await my terrifying fate (see my prison photo). But fate had better plans for me when a very nice lady brought me home and fixed me up, so I could find a wonderful future instead! I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you in Ansonia, CT!

I am a sweet little guy who thrives on human affection and will make the best little sidekick! I want to be right by your side, snuggled in bed with you all night long because cuddles are my specialty! I love playtime with other dogs, and here comes my high-energy “spitfire” side, where my little tail starts going off like a helicopter, whirling around with ultimate happiness and telling the world all about it! I have a hilarious “old-man” style bark to keep you entertained and up to date on every happening around the house. I’m a crack-up! I would do best in a home as either the solo center of attention or with a calm dog housemate who balances or matches my lively play style. I have been working so hard on my indoor potty manners, and since I was recently neutered, I’m doing much better at learning not to lift my leg unless I’m outdoors or on a potty pad. My foster mom says with consistency, a routine, and positive reinforcement, I will master this task in no time! In the meantime, I look dashing in a tiny belly band!
