Are you looking for a little velcro lap dog?... My name is Artie, and you're gonna love me! I am a 4-year-old, 12 lb Chihuahua mix, totally handsome with my big ol’ ears and big, beautiful, soulful eyes that will be gazing at you with unrelenting devotion. Surprisingly, I do not have separation anxiety when my foster mom is away, but I do have some doggy friends who keep me occupied with lots of playtime!

My rescue journey has been scary and fraught with peril. I was living in Port Lavaca, Texas, with my dog friend Hank, a 98 lb Coonhound, when our owner moved away and dropped us both off at the local kill shelter. We were in serious danger of being euthanized when, bless our lucky stars, 4 Little Paws Rescue saved 28 dogs and puppies, and we were included! WooHoo!! These days, Hank has been adopted, and now it’s my turn. I am neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, have vet records, and I'm ready to leave Texas behind!

I am a happy loverboy, sweet and friendly, a bit shy with strangers at first, and I love having dog friends to play with. I love dog toys and chews, running and wrestling, and being next to you, or in your lap, is my ultimate happy place. I’m simply a very good boy, well-behaved, housebroken, and I only bark when I need to alert you. You must realize that at night I’ll be sleeping beside you, but I’m a very good sleeper, and I am always trustworthy while roaming free in my foster home! Inquire about me today.
