Canelo - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Fairfield, Connecticut

Hi there! I am a cute little 7-month-old male Chihuahua mix pup weighing 11.2 lbs. When my owner became ill, I was surrendered to 4 Little Paws Rescue, and I have been living in a foster home in Bulverde, Texas, ever since. I am now neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and have all my vet records, so that I can find a wonderful forever home!

I am a sweet little guy who loves people, and although I may be shy and submissive at first, I quickly warm up and fall in love. Yep, you will be the apple of my eye, and I'll follow you everywhere, snuggling beside you or in your lap when you sit down to relax. I am wonderful with other dogs and very playful, enjoying playtime with my doggy friends, and I LOVE doggy toys of every variety, but especially my ball. A kitty cat lives in my foster home, and although I will chase her when I try to play, I will leave her alone when she gives me a warning. My foster mom says I am very good for a puppy and can still be mischievous, but I am already housebroken, know how to use a potty pad when stuck indoors, and I am not a barker unless I need to alert you. I love walks and car rides and am getting more comfortable on a leash with a harness. I am not a fan of being kept in a crate, so my foster mom uses a baby gate to keep me safe in the house with the resident dogs while she is away. At night, I sleep in a doggy bed in her bedroom, and I do very well, just wanting to be near her and my dog friends.
