Ms. Sweet Karly - Wirehaired Terrier Dog for Adoption in Ridgefield, Washington

**Hi... my name is Karly. **

I wish I could tell you where I came from or how I ended up alone in a crowded shelter in Southern California... but I can't.

One day, I found myself surrounded by barking dogs, wondering if anyone would ever come for me. No one did.

Now it's my turn to tell you a little about myself.

I'm about a wirehaired terrier mix **one year old**, weigh about 15 lbs with a beautiful **golden coat** and the most unique **golden eyes** you've ever seen. People tell me they're the first thing they notice about me... but I hope they'll also notice my heart.

I'm spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy, but the thing I want most isn't found in a medical chart.
Its found in a family...
a lap...
a warm voice...
a safe place to rest my head.

I am from Southern California and came to live with my foster family in Ridgefield, WA and can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential adopter for me.

Here is my story:

The nice people at the shelter don't know my story, and neither do I. Maybe I got lost. Maybe I was left behind. Whatever happened, I never stopped hoping that someone would look into my golden eyes and see that all I wanted was to love them.

Then something wonderful happened.

A rescue group walked into the shelter and gave me a second chance. They opened my kennel door and told me my life was about to change forever.

You see, once I love you... I really, really love you.

If you get up, I'll get up too. If you walk into another room, I'll be right behind you. If you're working, reading a book, or watching TV, I'll quietly lie beside you. I don't follow you because I'm needy I follow you because being close to my favorite person is my happiest place in the world.

People laugh and say I'm like a little shadow.

They're right.

I love meeting new people, and I don't have a shy bone in my body. Everyone is a friend I just haven't met yet! I also love playing with other dogs, no matter their size. Running, chasing, wrestling, and then taking a well-earned nap together... that's my kind of day.

When bedtime comes, I'm happy to curl up in my crate and sleep peacefully through the night like the good girl everyone says I am. I'm already house-trained too, so I'm ready to fit right into your family.

I'm spayed, fully vaccinated, and all packed up for my next adventure.

The only thing missing...
